Our providers work together to provide the best care in the management of Meningioma tumors. Our team utilizes a team approach to deliver customized individualized care using state of the art surgical techniques and radiation therapy
INNOVATIVENESS OF EXPERIENCED TEAM
Our highly skilled specialists have over 20 years of experience innovating in the care of Meningioma Tumors. Our team has championed several innovative surgical concepts to minimize brain damage while maximizing function preservation for patients with meningioma
Balancing Cure and Quality of Life
Commitment to innovative minimally invasive meningioma surgery and radiation in the treatment of Meningioma tumors have enhanced safety and reduced morbidity, length of hospital stay and complications to patients.
At THE CENTER FOR MENINGIOMA SURGERY our team has championed several concepts to maximize tumor resection while minimizing brain damage and loss of quality of life
The 360 Minimally invasive concept
This unique neurosurgical concept employs an array of surgical
techniques to maximize the removal of meningiomas from all locations within the brain and skull base with minimal brain manipulation or retraction
The extradural navigation Concept
This surgical approach used natural spaces at the skull base to
gain access to complex deep located meningiomas without unnecessary brain exposure or manipulation
The collaborative critical analysis of the meningioma anatomy by the surgical and radiation oncology teams allows the creation of a pre-operative conformational surgical planing strategy. This strategy allow for pre operative evaluation of the maximal safe surgical resection of meningiomas in deep hard to reach locations. While the second stage planed post operative CiberKnife or Proton Bean radiation Therapy allows effective control of non resected residual meningioma in the hazardous locations. This multidisciplinary interaction allows for maximal tumor resection, functional preservation and tumor control.
LEADING TREATMENTS WITH MINIMALLY INVASIVE SOLUTIONS
In the CMS minimally invasive solutions for Meningioma tumors includes surgical resection using innovative endoscopic and microscopic techniques and noninvasive state of the art radiation procedure—CyberKnife robotic Radiosurgery and Proton Bean Radiation Therapy—to deliver targeted radiation to meningioma tumors. CyberKnife radiation or Proton bean Radiation Therapy can be recommended as the primary form of treatment for Meningioma tumors or used as adjunct therapy for post operative residual tumor component in hard to reach critical areas. This planned combined team approach strategy has enhanced function preservation and quality while still allowing high rates of lasting tumor control.
