At THE MENINGIOMA CENTER, our team has over 1000 case experience treating meningiomas. Our team treats meningiomas through an array of advanced surgical techniques. These techniques include keyhole micro-neurosurgery, endoscopic nasal surgery, focused trans-ear approaches, and focused cranio-orbital surgery. In addition, we use CyberKnife robotic radiosurgery and the most advanced Proton Beam radiation therapy. These treatments are are sometimes the primary treatment for selected patients. We also utilize these therapies for adjuvant treatment after initial surgical removal of tumors.

The extradural navigation concept leverages natural skull base spaces to access deep-seated meningiomas, reducing the need for unnecessary brain exposure or direct handling of brain tissue. This method enhances surgical precision, lowers the risk of neurological injury, and improves outcomes for patients with complex skull base tumors.

Conformational Surgical Planning

The collaborative critical analysis of the meningioma anatomy by the surgical and radiation oncology teams allows the creation of a pre-operative conformational surgical plan. This strategy is used when complete resection of the tumor is not deemed safe. It creates a treatment plan to maximize safe, most significant meningioma surgical resection and post-operatively radiation treatment for tumors in hard-to-reach sensitive locations using CyberKnife or Proton Beam radiosurgery. This multidisciplinary interaction allows for maximal tumor resection, functional preservation, and effective tumor control in hazardous locations.
